The best selling game on the Xbox 360 was finally released as a comic series in 2008; just before the second instalment of the game series: Gears Of War 2.
The first six issues bring forth new material we see from the first game as well as the ending; moving on to the beginning of the second. Follow Marcus Fenix and his tribe the Delta Squad as they take on the treacherous vermin, the Locust Horde.
Sera is facing devastation, only a few Gears warriors remain. Guiding the Delta Squad is the fearless legend himself, Marcus Fenix. A leader to rookies and someone all other COG soldiers admire and fight for.
Having only found one Gear in a while; the delta squad is force back to their headquarters however an aching call forces them to push back one more time. Unfortunately, the Locust Horde is behind this and Boomers along with other beasts form a powerful group which can annihilate the seconds into their battle.

Gears Of War Series 1 action figures hit the shelves in the middle of 2008. These would be the first series of many to come from the Gears Of War toy franchise. Gears Of War, an extremely popular Xbox 360 game; decided to set NECA the task to produce high quality, hand crafted figurines concentrating on detail. This was much to the delight of Gears fans.
Gears Of War Series 1 contained a box set of:
Marcus Fenix – Marcus was once a war hero; until the locust horde confronted him, he now fights for survival and is leader of the Delta Squad.
Augustus Cole – Cole, or as we know him “The Cole Train” thrives on adrenaline, he’s ready for action and is willing to take short cuts to enter a fight quicker. He isn’t the smartest handler of situations, but he’s all man and ready to take down some locusts!
Locust Drone – Comes armed with a Hammerburst Assault Rifle, they are hard to kill and absolutely beastly creatures; they order the locust horde. Just one of them is tough to match, however a group of them make for all the more effort.
Locust Sniper – Ordering attacked from the darkness, Locust Snipers can ambush and defeat their enemy unseen. Armed with a Long Range Sniper Rifle, they can defeat you from afar or come in close for the kill.
Along with the box set of these figures, came additional features such as the guns used; as well as an extra head for the Locusts. These were highly detailed, however lacked a little articulation.
The weapons included were:

The Gears Of War 3 trailer has finally been released much to the delight of Gears fans nationwide, you can check out the trailer below!
Having first been shown on US tv show, ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’, the trailer entitled “Ashes to Ashes”, exposes Marcus Fenix, Delta Squad leader and his accomplice Dom Santiago fighting off a horde of repulsive Locusts in a baron, dark combat zone.
Dom busts through what can only be described as ash sculptures – symbolic of ‘people frozen in time’ as he tries to desperately escape the Locust horde.
Dom falls to the ground and when all hope seems lost, Marcus jumps to his aid and defends him.
The song called “Heron Blue” by Sun Kil Moon, from the album “April” is played throughout the action packed trailer.
Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski revealed the release date of April 8 2011.
The Locust species we see in the trailer are described as “Lambert” by Bleszinski “[they are] crazy tentacle monsters that can mutate while you’re fighting them”.
Just another bonus developers have added to Gears Of War 3 is the double shotgun. As well as the hugely anticipated addition of female warriors for the first time in the Game’s history.
Something that had been requested numerous times, Bleszinski made clear.
